Dr. Veo
n Smith is a ClinicalSocial Worker and a Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples and family psychotherapy and maintains a private practice in South Jordan, Utah.

With over forty years experience as a clinician, and a graduate of University of Utah College of Social Work he is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are treatment for depression and anxiety, couples issues and issues of abuse.  In addition, Veon has presented at national conferences and to general audiences on such topics as marriage skills and enrichment, parenting, the helping relationship, and child welfare.

Veon is a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist. His treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. He incorporates a blend of conventional and alternatives approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, he works with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.

Mindy Newsome, L.C.S.W. is a Clinical Social Worker providing individual psychotherapy in her private practice in South Jordan, Utah
Mindy graduated with her Master's of Social Work degree from the University of Utah in 2009 and has worked in the behavioral health field since 2004.  She has experience in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings with clients who struggle with substance use and mental health disorders.  She works collaboratively with clients to identify goals and a plan to address issues relted to situational stressors. depressive symptoms, and anxiety.
